During the first few years I owned Charlie it became the norm that he would colic during the change of seasons until three years ago when he had colic on a regular basis, on some occasions needing three treatments on any given day. Due to the increasing episodes of colic, he lost a lot of weight and condition. He was on medication and supplements which were not making much of a difference, so I decided to get hold of Equus as I was desperate. I had only ever heard good things about Equus and decided to give the feed a try. Helen suggested that I start him on Equus Safe ‘n Lite, feeding small meals of no bigger than 1kg. The change was incredible and in the first two months he picked up 45kgs with no colic attacks. Since then, he’s been doing really well and is now on only a small amount of Equus Safe ‘n Lite with added Equus Nice ‘n Easy as he loves the pellets.
Thanks to Equus he is a changed horse!”
2.5 weeks later
After 4 weeks
Mace is a 21 year old TB which I brought to my yard on 19th August 2016. I immediately fed him Equus Cool ‘n Perform 12% and Equus All Time Balancer.
After 2 weeks there was a huge improvement in his coat, weight and droppings. After a month now, he looks like a different horse and his muscle atrophy is being reversed. I am so happy as he deserves Happy Twilight years.
I just wanted to write to tell you about my fizzy, off the track TB, which at four years old and 18hh is no joke! Since changing him to the Equus range of products, he has shown fantastic weight gain and muscle development with an ultra laid back attitude towards everything. On any other feed I would be bankrupt with a nutcase under saddle! With Equus, I don’t have to feed much and the Equus Cool ‘n Perform 12%, All Time Balancer and Nice ‘n Easy all describe Royal Chief: cool and performing, well balanced , and very nice ‘n easy !
Thank you Equus
I wanted to send you my thanks and to say that I absolutely love Equus. The help and support that I have received from Helen Gilfillan has also been fantastic.
My competitive dressage horse has gone from having nothing left in the tank for the second test and/or the championship classes, to having enough for all three plus the Kur without being impossible to ride on the first day. Our feed of choice is the Cool ‘n Perform 12% and All Time Balancer.
He also needs very little feed, which I am very happy about, as I feel this is better for overall gut health.
Thank you Equus
Congratulations to Siobhan Records and Rathmore Caprice, winners of the FEI Advanced Medium Challenge at Kyalami Park. Equus is extremely proud to be a part of their success. Rathmore Caprice is fed Equus Cool ‘n Perform
Firstly, I’d like to thank Equus for such a fantastic feed. My 3 Warmbloods have been on Equus for just over 3 years and it’s the best decision I’ve made! Their coats are always shiny, they are energetic but not “stupid spooky”, and I’ve never had a case of colic. My horses work 6 days a week, and compete as often as possible. Two of them are in the 1.20’s and my mare in the 1.10’s. They each get 3kg Equus Cool ‘n Perform 12 and 600g Equus All Time Balancer per day. My horses and I couldn’t be happier!
Thank you Equus
I am currently using the Equus Cool and Perform 12 % and I just wanted to let you know that I feel this food has been far superior to any other food I have used for my horse. My horse has calmed down quite substantially since making the move to Equus and has become much more settled. He has also started to bulk up nicely and the food is doing everything I require it to do. My horse has also had the required energy for 6 days of schooling. His coat has even started getting a nice sheen to it, even though he is a grey and we know how difficult a grey’s coat is to keep. I thank you for a great product.
I have used your products with fantastic results for the past few years but this year I thought I would try my horse Centennial on the Safe n Lite prior to the KZN Dressage Champs, and am excited to say I had my Champion back. It has made such a difference to his temperament and he is more focused and trainable.
He had a 1st 2 2nds a 3rd and won the KZN Breeders Award for the Top Thoroughbred.
Thank you for taking the time to assist me with his feed.
I’m a very happy owner!
My two beautiful horses RULE THE WAVE and TREASURED EMBLEM are fed on Equus and they look wonderful.
I thank you for a great feed and for the fabulous service you provide. Equus certainly has a passion for horses.
I thought id send you a picture of my Equus Lucerne Cube loving horse, Cellehof Adamant.
Adam is a big old softy and really loves his Lucerne cubes. I find them extremely handy and far less wasteful than baled Lucerne. I use them as a roughage additive and I often have a couple in my pocket to use as treats.
Thank you for a wonderful product.
So it has been about a year now since my horse, Laheeb, changed to Equus and all I can say is WOW! The difference we have seen in him has converted half of our yard to Equus.
Laheeb is a very narrow, lean build endurance horse and a hardkeeper. I changed to Equus after my horse had compaction colic last year and was diagnosed with a stomach ulcer. After two months on Equus he started to look better and since the beginning of the year, despite all our training and competitions, he has kept a stable body condition.
We did our first competitive 80km ride 2 weeks ago and he was amazing!!! Had more than enough energy, but was not silly or out of control, like he used to be. We came 3rd in the light weight division and rode a springbok time. He just felt so good I let him take his own pace and he was 100% happy. Maybe it was just beginners luck, but we have a few more rides for the season so I will see how it goes :).
Thank you for a great feed
My horse, Wild West, is a 17 hh warmblood gelding who is worked 5 days a week. He competes in 1.00 and 1.10 m show jumping classes. He eats only a small amount of concentrates for his size and his workload. I feed him 1.5 kgs of Equus Nice ‘n Easy and 1.5 kgs of Equus Train ‘n Leisure and 800 grams of Equus All Time Balancer per day. He is in extremely good condition and has enough energy for work and for shows.
I have found that on the very low NSC values of the Equus range he is never “spooky” and silly. On other brands with high levels of molasses and cereal grains he was extremely difficult to ride and he “spooked” at every opportunity. These low NSC values have made it possible for me to be barefoot for the past 18 months. I have found the quality of the feed to be very consistent; the price of this wonderful feed is also fantastic.
Thank you Equus for a wonderful feed at a price I can afford.
I thought I would email you and say a HUGE thank you for the amazing condition my dressage boy is currently in. I’ve been feeding him Equus Cool ‘n Perform 12% and Equus All Time Balancer for the last couple of years and not only is he in amazing condition for a TB who lives out 24/7 but he is full of energy for his dressage career in which he is flying).
I haven’t found a feed that is better than the Equus range, and I certainly won’t be changing from it. I also use the Equus Train ‘n Leisure for my other horses. I always recommend the range when people ask what I use.
Here’s a before and after of my 10 year old TB Sharp Sharp.
Thank you again Equus Horse Feeds!
I just wanted to tell you that my horse Orio is looking great and working like a dream. He is certainly ready for the year. I can’t tell you how happy I am with how he is looking and I know it’s thanks to the great feed he is on.
Thank you so much
