2009 Horse of the Year category Winner

Jaclag Bannut Mandarin, prepared exclusively on Equus, won the Supreme
Champion Working Hunting category 2009 Horse of the Year Award,
achieving a category win for the second consecutive year.

At the recently held Easter Festival in Gauteng, my pony Jaclag Bannut Mandarin won the Show
Pony Championship and my other horse Mambo N won both his dressage classes as well as the
dressage Victor Ludorum for the highest combined dressage score. Both these horses are fed
exclusively on Equus’ Cool and Perform which builds fantastic topline, makes their coats shine,
and produces good energy for training without fizziness.
Since I changed over to Equus, I have never looked back.

Saint Peter

Charlotte Crisp is over the moon with how well her showjumper, Saint Peter, is performing on
Cool 'n Perform. She claims he is a different horse. Before beginning Cool 'n Perform, the horse
was ingesting over twice the recommended amount of a calming supplement and he was still
unmanageable and difficult to ride especially at shows. However, after only 5 bags of the feed
he was down to just under half of the recommended dose of the calming supplement and
participated at a show with thunderstorms and lightning remaining calm and responsive.
Charlotte is very happy as she says she can now enjoy riding him. He had been so bad that she
was advised in the past to stop riding him to avoid being possibly seriously injured, but says he
is now a dream. To top it all, he has also built fabulous condition and muscle tone.

Saint Peter is now completely off the calming supplement and the pair won the Junior South
African  South African Derby Championship in their category in May 2008, and also went on to
win the Junior Open Working Hunter at Higher Grade Inter Regionals in Sept at GHS.

The Story of Quay West

In March 2008, our JB horse Quay West was diagnosed with biliary and we gave him about 8
weeks off. When he came back into work he appeared sore, so we got the vet to look at him
again. He is fairly old, so when the vet felt that his back was causing him pain and making
him unable to engage his hind quarters we weren't surprised. He was started on a course of
cortisone injections which we were told should completely fix the problem. After a week,
however, Kiwi seemed to be in so much pain we could not force him to work. We decided to
retire him and just get him strong again.

However, his condition continued to deteriorate; he was shockingly thin and so crippled he
could barely walk out of his stable. We seriously thought about ending his pain twice during
this time but were convinced to get a second opinion from another vet.He felt that our horse
had really bad laminitis caused by liver failure and an overdose of cortisone - we were
devastated!

As a last resort, we spoke to Hannah from Equus and she advised feeding him Equus Safe 'n
Lite and giving more time. He has been on it now for about 3 months and he is looking 100
times better! He is perfectly sound now and by far the happiest he has ever been! We are
even starting to think about competing him again. This food literally saved his life!
Yvette De Oliveira

Dear Equus Feeds,

I want to tell you about the GREAT success I have had with your Safe ‘n Lite feed.
I have a 20 year old Welsh Section A pony. For the two years I have had him he has struggled
with laminitis and has been a sore and uncomfortable pony.
My daughter was instructed not to ride him at all as he was in pain the whole time.  We tried
every feed there was to help this condition. I was pulling my hair out at a stage because it
felt like a battle I couldn't win. Then I came across an Equus pamphlet. I switched over to
Safe ‘n Lite two/three months ago, and I now have a bouncy, pain free pony who is full of life.
You would swear he is 10 and not 20.

I really want to thank Equus feed for their great feed they supply. I would recommend it to
anyone.

Regards,
Yvette De Oliveira
Marie Winnard

In January 2009, after Hannah from Equus came out to see my horses and advised me on
feed and quantity, I changed my horses over to Equus’ Train ‘n Leisure. This decision was not
made lightly but I am thrilled with the results seen in a variety of horses with different needs
but all on the same feed:

I recently got some rescue horses off a stud farm that closed down. My biggest worry was
one mare that was extremely nervous and hot; I needed to put her on feed that would not
make her hot, yet still get the weight on her. After only a week of Train ’n Leisure I could see
she was picking up weight without getting hot and silly. By the next month I reduced her feed
with 1kg per day.

I also have a stunning TB stallion that, unlike the normal stallion, is very laid back and lazy.
I have always had him on 16% concentrate, yet battled to keep his weight up and energy
levels high.  Braashwin is now in great condition with energy to hunt, yet calm and gentle as
he has always been. His coat has never looked as good.

The best results have been on my “old lady”.
She is a 22year old TB mare. Like all old
horses it is hard to keep weight on her. She
also has a bad leg that gives her a hard time.
Since I changed her to Equus she has
wonderful condition and is much more mobile.
She is on only 4kg of food- not bad for a
16.3hh. She runs and plays like a 5year old.

In my 30 years of riding and enjoying the
company of horses, I have not found a food
as great as Equus. I breed TB sport horses
and can recommend this feed to everyone.

Theo Jordaan and family

As a family, we have been involved with Endurance racing for many years. In the last year we
have changed our feed to Equus and are very happy with our results. All our endurance horses
use a combination of Equus CooI ‘n Perform and Race ‘n Replace.

In general, all the horse’s
coats are shinier and they have all developed more muscle. Recovery during and after events
has improved enormously and condition is maintained with ease.

They all experience an energy burst and second wind a few kilometres after eating Race ‘n
Replace during an event. We had no adaptation problems when changing over to this feed,
even with some finicky eaters, and the horses enjoy it.

Al Mu’ Barak Shaikh used to suffer with constipation which led to some light colic occurrences in
the past, but on Equus there is definitely an improvement and his droppings are more regular
and normal.
Since we have been using Equus, our family has recorded a number of achievements including:

A first place for Johan on Al Mu’ Barak Rabdan in the Alma Endurance Ride in the Heavyweight
category and the award for the Best Prepared Horse.

A 3rd place for Louise on Al Mu’ Barak Shaikh during the Noordelike Uithourit Unie competition.

A 4th place for Louise on Kromar Shar-Yanica in her 1st 120km ride at the Louise Botha FEI
Race in the Young Riders category, the award for the Best Prepared horse in this category and
the Stride and Louise Botha Award for the Best of the Best over all categories.

At the recently held Fauresmith National Championships, Louise on Shaikh was captain for the
Gauteng North Young Riders Team. They came 3rd in this category, 4th overall (out of 386
prequalifiers) and won the award for the fastest purebred Arab in his category.

This was Shaikh’s second Fauresmith event and he bettered his previous time by 33 minutes.

Louise and Kromar Shar Yanika have been selected for the National Young Riders team for the
upcoming Africa Championships in Walvis Bay.

New Testimonial from Charlotte Crisp and Saint Peter

(See older testimonial below to see just how far Saint Peter has come since changing over to
Equus!)

This is a photo of me and Saint Peter competing in the South African Outdoor Grand Prix. He
has been out of action since March and this was his first show back!! He was placed in 3 of 4
classes including coming 2nd in the International Classique and 4th in the Grand Prix. He was
also placed 2nd in the THS Championship at Higher Grade Inter Regionals in the Junior 130
classes and won the 130 speed class at Young Riders Champs.
Saint Peter has been on Equus Cool ‘n Perform for almost 2 years and has changed drastically
and gone from strength to strength!!

“I cannot tell you how pleased I am with the change that I've seen in my 7 year old mare since
changing over to Equus Cool ‘n Perform.
She went from a crazy, unpredictable, nervous and unsafe horse to an absolute dream.
I had lost faith in her completely but have regained trust in her again.  I changed her feed
slowly and let her stand for over a month, got back on her this week and it was as if she had
gone for schooling!

She was perfect.

Thank you for an amazing product!”
Adél Stander

Dear Equus,

My SA Boerperd, Fynbos Engeltjie, used to be hot and unruly until I started her on Cool ‘n
Perform 12. I use to earn frequent flyer miles without getting near a plane, and I can now
report that I have not seen the ground since I started her on Equus. Engel is only rising 4 and
still growing, but I have always had trouble keeping up her weight. She has not only gained
weight since starting on Equus, but her coat is shiny and she is an overall much happier and
healthier horse and I am a much happier horse owner. She is surely growing into her name!

Thanks Equus!

Parrot's Story

Parrot literally fell out of the horse box when she arrived at our yard in mid August. She had
contracted E-Coli at her previous yard and had suffered from chronic diarrhoea for 3 months.

Despite numerous veterinary visits, antibiotics, dewormers and trying every brand of feed
available we just couldn't get her to pick up weight or have a solid bowel movement.

In late October we were about to have her humanely
euthanized. Just then, the CEO of Equus arrived at our yard
to visit our horses and offered to sponsor Parrot with 4kgs of
Cool 'n Perform 15 a day for 2 months. She still had a heavy
winter coat and was dull and listless, but with huge scepticism
we decided to give it a try.

Since our entire yard changed to Equus products we have
stopped using all supplements and additions and just enjoy
healthy and vibrant horses, but Parrot was probably in the
worst shape I have ever seen a horse.

Well, within 3 weeks she was a different horse who started
shedding her winter coat and did a little buck and jog in the
mornings on the way to her camp. What used to be an ugly
backbone suddenly turned into a topline.

She suddenly developed muscles where there was just
sagging skin before. We are still astounded at the remark-
able changes and my entire yard will testify to the miracle
change because that is what it was.

The photographs illustrate this genuine case study which
started on 1 November and finished 31 December 2009.

I just thought I'd give you some feedback on my thoroughbred mare, Tamarind.
I emailed a while ago about adding some weight to her for Horse of the Year.

Well, I bought a bag of Equus All Time Balancer and have been giving her 500g per day for the
last 2 months.
To say that she has put on weight is an understatement - she is fat as a pig! which for a lean,
hot, orange thoroughbred mare is quite a feat!
I can’t feel her ribs, her behind is wobbling, she has dapples, a crest and she's shiny like
nobody's business.

Thank you

You could not have come to Natal sooner.

I was looking to change feed as my horse was lacking energy and starting to refuse jumps.
He has now been on the Equus Cool & Perform for about 3 months and the results are amazing.
His condition has improved, he has gained weight and is jumping like a pro. We completed a
20km endurance training ride this weeked and he finished fitter than ever. He did not seem
stiff the day after either.

Many thanks

Hi Hannah,

Just to let you know, both my horses have been on Equus for a month now and they are
looking fabulous… I am so happy!
They are on the Equus Safe ‘n Lite and All Time Balancer and they really seem to be thriving.
Thank you for all your help, I really appreciate it!

Dear Equus

I have been involved with horses for nearly 40 years and have never seen results like this
before.

I am really excited about Equus and extremely pleased with the improvement of my 6 yr old TB
gelding.  He has been on the Cool 'n Perform for only 5 weeks and has put on loads of weight,
his coat is shining and he has muscled up tremendously

Thanks Equus for a great product.

Our two ponies Foxy and Alfie have had a good beginning to the year at the PE Autumn Show,
the Bathurst Show and the East London Agricultural Show.
At the
PE Autumn Show BB Foxglove won the Show Pony, Show Riding Pony, Show Hunter,
Working Championship Pony, Champion Show Pony, and Supreme Show Horse/Pony as well
as the Dressage Elementary Medium 3, while Olford Fantastic won the Dressage Elementary 3.

At the
Bathurst Show BB Foxglove won the Dressage Elementary 2 and 3, Best Pony under
13.3hands, Best Pony in hand, Show Pony, Open Champion Pony, Graded Champion Pony,
Supreme Champion Pony and Supreme Horse/Pony on show. Olford Fantastic also had 4
placings in the showing classes.

At the
East London Agricultural Show, BB Foxglove with Raine was the Reserve Champion
Lead Rein Pony, while with Brindleigh in the saddle, Foxy was Dressage Champion of the Show,
was 1st in the Working Riding Pony, was Show Pony Champion and was the Supreme Eastern
Cape Champion. Alfie won the Best Pleasure Pony class and was Arab Champion as well.

Both our ponies are on
Cool 'n Perform 12 and at Bathurst Hannah gave us this great advice
and we used a bit of
Race 'n Replace to give Foxy a bit of sparkle when he was tired.

We bought Foxy in June 2009 and when I first saw him I was a bit thrown by his dull coat. I
thought at the time that it was from over-clipping or too much sun. I kept him on the feed he
had been on in JHB (not available to us in PE) and very slowly changed him to our normal
brand but was still not happy with his coat and his general well being. He then had two low
grade colics close together and after a lot of research I came to the conclusion that Foxy had
an ulcer for which he was then treated. At this time
Equus became available in PE and
seemed to be the right feed for ulcers. I decided to move my whole yard over to Equus

Cool 'n Perform 12
after being on a local brand for 11 years.

As Hannah will tell you it took a while to convince me of the real benefits. It took a while to
switch them over as the Equus product was so completely different, but eventually all the
horses munched away happily. Foxys coat is now glowing with health and he is a very happy
boy. I have not had a colic or health problem in the yard since we changed to Equus. Using
Equus certainly saves on supplements, quantities and vet bills. All my horses are looking great
despite the terrible drought.

Leandra Endurance Ride 13-3-2010.

Louise Jordaan on Al MuBarak Shaikh rode the 80km in a time of 3 hours, 49 min. They won
the Young Rider Section and the Best Prepared Prize.

Elize Jordaan on Al MuBarak Rabdan completed the 80km in a time of 4 hours, 23 min and
was 13th out of 43 horses in the standard weight category. Both of these horses are fed

Cool 'n Perform 12%
as well as Race 'n Replace.

Dietrich El-Naseri, one of our young horses was entered here for his first endurance ride as
he is only 4 years old. We planned to ride him only 30km, but after the first 30km he looked
so good and his pulse was only 48, so the veterinarian said he could complete another leg.
After 60km his pulse rate was still 48 and the veterinarian said he could complete the final
leg. He completed this final section with a pulse rate still on 48 and looked fantastic!!
El-Naseri was only changed over to
Cool 'n Perform 12% after this ride. Up until then he
had been fed
Train 'n Leisure exclusively.

Alma Endurance ride 20-2-2010:

Louise and Al MuBarak Shaikh came second and was also nominated for the Best Prepared.
Elize and Rabdan achieved a 3rd place in the standard weight category and was also
nominated for Best Prepared.

General

Louise and Shaikh have qualified for Fauresmith. In the last year they have completed 3
qualifying rides within National times. Louise has also been chosen for the National Young
Rider team on Shaik for the 120km FEI 3 Nations Endurance ride at Schweizer Renecke in
April this year.

All the Fourie horses are fed exclusively on Equus products and since changing over to them we have never looked back!

Helen & Stripes

Our pony Stripes is a wonderful addition to our family but she has always been difficult to feed
as she is prone to laminitis. I was therefore delighted when I heard about Equus Safe n Lite
being registered as a safe feed for laminitic horses.

I was immediately impressed by the look of the product, especially the abundance of quality
fibre, just as nature intended, as well as the added biotin for hoof conditioning.  From the start
Stripes was as impressed as I was and absolutely loves the product. I can now be confident
that I really am feeding her the best product I can in order to keep her laminitis free.
Stripes is happy and healthy and enjoying life as any pony should.

Thank you Equus.
Pohlands Stud

Dear Equus,

I currently have 5 horses in my "string", ranging from Pohlands Witch Hazel in the 1.35/1.40m
classes down to Pohlands Viola who is currently in the 90cm classes.

My competition horses have all been on Equus Cool & Perform 12% since January 2010 and
I have been thrilled with the results.

Tossy Raynor & Godfather

My horse Godfather has suffered off and on from a sweet-itch type condition for 15 years.
He used to only get it in the wet weather but over the last few years it has been an ongoing
problem, with the itching driving him, and me, mad. The top of his tail was non-existent and his
mane, neck and head were always bald or rubbed raw in patches. I have used all sorts of
different remedies/creams etc but to no avail.
After three to four months of being fed on Cool and Perform he has completely stopped
scratching and thanks to Equus I now have a much happier horse.

Kind regards,
Tossy Raynor
Lila

Dear Equus,

10 days ago this horse was listless, wouldnt really eat, had a very dull coat and had dropped
50kg in a few weeks on his previous feed.
The vet advised treatment for ulcers and also vitamin imbalances. We changed his feed to
Equus Cool and Perform once the veterinary treatment was finished and only a short while
later at an inter regional show he was calm, looked so much better, and came 3rd in his class.
Thank you Equus!

Sandy Weber - Nickweb Clydesdale stud

Dear Equus, thank you for all the help with my Clydesdales. We have tried many feeds, and
while the horses looked good, we had problems with their foals having skew legs and going over
at the knees. When we cut the mothers' feed, the foals would come right, but the Moms would
look terrible.
We then met Hannah from Equus, about a year ago, and she worked out a diet for the mares
that would keep the babies from growing too fast but would keep the Moms looking great.
Well it worked - our babies this year were born with straight legs and the Moms looked great
without affecting the babies' growth. Below is a picture of Olivia with Cosmo (5 weeks after birth),
and as you can see they both look fantastic!
Once again a big thank you to Hannah from Equus for helping with the dietary requirements for
our horses, as well as the ongoing revisions and visits, to assess the progress of the horses.
Equus Endurance results from Fauresmith 2010

Congratulations to Louise Jordaan and Al MuBarak Shaikh who was awarded the trophy for the
Best Conditioned Horse in the Lightweight Category in this years event!
Louise and Shaikh competed in the lightweight category and completed the 200km in a time
of 8 hours 30 min. They came 2nd (only one minute 7 seconds after the winner!) in their
category and 5th over all the categories.
Shaikh finished in the top ten for the second year in a row. Last year he was placed 4th overall
and came 3rd with Louise in the Young Rider category.  Shaikh is fed the Equus endurance
combination of Cool n Perform and Race 'n Replace and trainer Elize Jordaan describes his
condition as nothing short of remarkable!

Dear Equus,
My Namibian Warmblood, Festival, was in the habit of continuously eating sand. Since I have
been feeding him Equus Cool and Perform 12 he has completely stopped this bad habit.
I put it down to the added Omega 3 and 6 in the Equus feeds. He now has plenty of energy
without being too strong at competitions.

I have also put several of the school horses onto the feed and all have picked up in their overall
condition without hotting up.  I have also used the Equus All Time Balancer to boost certain
horses condition and this has worked very well.
I am most impressed with the Equus feeds - definitely quality products that are of great benefit
to our horses!

Dear Equus,

I decided to change my horses feed about four months ago.

Hannah came out and assessed our horses and recommended EquusTrain & Leisure for them.
We changed them over and they are now looking gorgeous. They are shiny, fat, energetic and
they even look more alert and happy. Gone are my dull, lazy and sad looking horses!! Thanks
to Equus, I can now truly enjoy my babies!!
Anne Casey

Dear Equus,

Several months ago I had a highly strung horse who was almost impossible to work with but
after speaking in detail with Hannah I decided to put my boy on the Cool n Perform 12. Now I
have a horse who is better both in and out of the stable. His coat looks great and I can increase
his food in times of need without worrying that I will change his behaviour.

My mare recently had an operation and I put her on the All Time Balancer in order to provide
all her essential nutrients but without overloading her energy. For a horse that hasn't been
worked in 2 months she really does look great.

My horses are so much better than before. I am definitely a convert!
Gary Corson

Dear Equus,

Thanks for a great product. Recently my horse family grew with the acquisition of two badly
neglected horses which the owners eventually gave to us.

We took possession of a thin Boerperd and a bag of bones posing as a Saddler.

With a lot of advice from the local horse fraternity, my Boerperd blossomed, but the Saddler
still looked terrible. I was referred to the Equus range of products available near us in Mount
Pleasant.

What a difference. My big boy turned around within 3 days. While the Saddler still has a long
way to go, both they are a whole lot happier now.

Thanks for a great product.
Juanita Jamneck - Liberty Stables

Here is my contribution to your stories about horses on Equus that I thought youd enjoy:

My 16h TB, Royal Liberty, is now 31 years old (yes 31, and a Thoroughbred!) and, like all old
horses, has started losing his teeth and is no longer able to eat grass properly. He was rapidly
losing weight until I discovered Equus Nice n Easy. I wet it for him as the pelleted form is too
hard for him to eat and use it as a replacement for, or supplement to, the grass.

Since I started feeding it to him (about a year ago), he has picked up condition and is still full
of energy. Attached is a photo of him taking part in a fancy dress competition. I have since
put some of my other old horses onto the Nice n Easy as well.

Hello Equus,

I have been extremely pleased with our entire livery swop over to Equus Train and Leisure.
Even though the change took place as we entered winter. all our horses picked up weight
dramatically and put on amazing condition. It is the best I have ever seen our herd look in
winter. They all have a wonderful temperament and their coats are glossy and healthy. We
have added the All Time Balancer to the mix to assist in getting through the roughest part
of winter.

There is no comparison between Equus and other brands In fact, feeding Equus works out
cheaper, as we dont have to add any supplements, oils etc as this product has it all.

Dear Equus,

Seldom does a sales visit have such outstanding outcomes!

All my horses have now swopped to Equus Train n Leisure and are all shiny and well and
gaining weight, so I will indeed have to cut down soon on rations!

My old mare has stopped coughing, she no longer wheezes when we ride, and her nose has
stopped running! She is also enjoying going out again. I didnt think this was possible! She has
also put on weight as you said she would and her spine and hindquarters look so much better
and her winter coat is shining! Maybe its the lack of molasses and the proper oils?

Thanks for coming to visit!

Happy Hoofs

Dear Equus team,

I would like to thank you for healing my horse's hooves. As barefoot believer I couldn't look
at my horse's hooves anymore and decided to take action.

I pulled shoes off my TB boy and changed his food to Equus Cool 'n Perform 12 in the same
month. After all - it looked like a horse food to me. His overall condition has improved and
changed but the biggest change was seen in his hooves. This amazing change you can see on
the picture what happened in only 4 months! He is also a much happier boy - full of bounce
and joy.

I don't think more comments are needed - his feet are speaking for themselves. And nobody
can tell me that diet doesn't affect hooves.........  Thank you Equus for giving my horse new,
healthier, feet to stand on!

CONGRATULATIONS TO SARAH BUTLER ON HER SELECTION FOR THE INTER AFRICA CUP
EQUITATION TEAM

I started feeding my eventer Jester on Equus Cool 'n Perform 12 when I bought him in
March 2010 and he did very well on it. In August 2010 he had a serious bout of biliary and lost
a massive amount of condition so after treating him and resting him for 4 months, I followed
the advice from Equus and began feeding him the Equus Cool n Perform 15 to help boost his
condition and get him back on track.

After only a month back in work he looked amazing and felt great - even the showing judges
at Horse of the Year thought so where he was placed second in the Working Hunter! I have
kept him on this food with a slight downward adjustment and he is maintaining his condition beautifully without the need for any extras. We are very busy with eventing, show jumping and
equitation shows and throughout out all the disciplines I am always pleased with his good
condition and calm disposition.

Teri Smith - Cape Town

I just have to tell you that Equus Safe 'n Lite has literally saved Flea's life! Flea is an 11.1 hh
Welsh Mountain Pony, who came to us with a history of colic. While with us, she also became
slightly laminitic. Although she never developed full-blown laminitis, we had to be careful about
how long she was allowed out on grass. Then, to make things worse, she had a severe
episode of choke. Between the colic and the choke, had Flea been a cat, she would have used
up her 9 lives!

Anyway, since changing her feed to Equus Safe 'n Lite a year ago, she has lost weight, her
general condition has improved, and she has had no colic where she used to have 4 to 5
bouts a year. She is now nearly 22 years old, and her teeth are not as good as they used to
be, so the best form of roughage for her is grass as she struggles to chew anything else
properly. She now lives out and grazes all day (except when she is working) with no sign of
laminitis!  I can highly recommend Safe 'n Lite to anyone who is struggling with overweight,
laminitic ponies - it works!! Thank you, Equus Feeds!!!!
Claire Macintosh & Katya

I have an elderly thoroughbred mare, Katya, who is in her 30s. For years she has been a retired
"paddock ornament" out in the herd, enjoying the balance of her very long life.

Last winter she started to feel her age. She battled to keep her weight up, would colic about
twice a week, and was looking terrible. For a horse of her age who had previously had a colic
op, we were very worried about her.

She had almost no teeth left and could not eat grass at all. She had been fed food specifically
made for older horses for well over 7 years, supplemented with chopped lucerne and probiotics,
but this did not seem to be doing the job anymore. We started changing from one ‘old’ horse
food to another, and tried barley, full fat soya, multi-vitamins and anything the vet and feed
suppliers suggested. Nothing seemed to help.

In March this year, we noticed that she was dropping condition quite drastically and she had
started to separate herself from the herd. We made the decision to put her down, but had to
wait a while until the AHS had died down as the lion and rhino parks were full and could not take
more horses.

As a result of having to wait, we stopped all the fancy, expensive ‘old’ horse feeds, stopped all
supplements, stopped the lucerne and chaff, and even stopped the probiotics and multi-vitamins.
Katya was fed exactly what all my other horses were being fed - Equus Train ‘n Leisure - nothing
else.

Needless to say, she made a complete turn-around! She picked up weight, joined the herd
again, and is completely back to her old, cheeky, chestnut mare self. She also has not had a
colic at all since being fed Train ‘n Leisure.

I must thank Equus for making all my horses look and feel great and for giving my old lady a
second chance.

The two pictures show Katya in February this year and the other a pic taken this week.

Many regards

Since changing to Equus about a year ago, we have found that not only do we save on our
monthly feed bills but also that we have happy, healthy horses and ponies that are fit and
able to perform at their best. The biggest change has really been in their attitudes; all our
horses are calm and relaxed without losing their individual sparks.
The service we have experienced has been second to none and Equus has always been on
hand to evaluate, review and guide us through all aspects of feeding a large yard. A big
thank you to Equus

I run a small stud as well as highly competitive horses - mainly show jumping.
I use various products within the Equus range and the back up service from the Equus staff is
really professional.

Thank you for a wonderful feed that is truly value for money!

Carey Pohl and Pohlands Witch Hazel

Congratulations to Carey Pohl on her 2011 achievements including her first 1.50m debut on
Pohlands Witch Hazel at the Martin Collins SA Champs at Burlington Equestrian centre in
November where the pair qualified 15th.

Carey hopes that 2012 she will be able to compete in a couple of World Cup Qualifiers with
Pohlands Witch Hazel, while giving Pohlands Absolut many outings in the 1.30m division.
Pohlands Viola is her young up and coming horse who will face some exciting competition time!

Equus is extremely proud to be associated with such fantastic horses and wish Carey and
her horses all the best in 2012.
